Sunday Inspiration: Volume 2.5

Muses by REVUE

For the most interesting woman in the room; designed to bring more depth, intention, and luxury into your week

Sentiment of the week: “For if the modern mind is whimsical and discursive, the classical mind is narrow, unhesitating, relentless. It is not a quality of intelligence that one encounters frequently these days. But though I can digress with the best of them, I am nothing in my soul if not obsessive.” ― Donna Tartt, The Secret History

Here’s what is currently inspiring us: Small habits that turn into big lifestyle changes, new beginnings, dusting off the old energy, reading biographies and memoirs, this perfect pair of black boots, Zelda Fitzgerald, perusing open houses and estate sales just for pleasure, heirloom jewelry that gets passed down generation to generation, wearing mini skirts and tights and boots in the dead of winter, Schiaparelli Spring Couture 2025, this body care routine, individuals who rise like a phoenix, feeling grounded amidst the whirlwind of change, prioritizing your time as your most treasured currency, orchids that bloom throughout the years, the full cheeks of a baby, allowing the music of jazz to encapsulate your room, intimate dinner dates where conversation and connection are at the base of the evening, this serum.

What we are consuming this week:

Brand of the week: There are few moments where the sight of clothes makes your creativity melt in the most fluid and refreshing of ways. The Schiaparelli Spring Couture 2025 show was a moment that solidified, expressed, and showed that a brand is not the medium in which they produce; a brand is in the details of how they express. This collection was a moment that allowed all of us to exhale and whisper beneath our breathe in the most secretive and joyous of ways, “This is fashion.” Where details know no parameters, where the female body is just the beginning, where the joys of glamour are innovative and imaginative. With Schiaparelli, we are finally and utterly captivated. With Schiaparelli, our inner and fantastical daydreams meet the sophistication of our womanhood.

Artist of the week: En Iwamura; a ceramic and sculpture artist who plays with space and scale, inspired by the Japanese philosopy of Ma. Ma is a gap, space, or pause between objects, sounds, or moments. Mixed in with such an awe-evoking endeavor is a happiness, a playfulness, a peacefulness to his work. For more information on En Iwamura’s work, click here.

Ritual to implement: Tongue scraping first thing in the morning. A little wellness moment just for you within the silence of the sun rising. Solidifying that the first thing you do each day you rise is take care of you.

Place to daydream about: A Room at the Beach; a charming Hamptons boutique hotel with only 10 guest rooms. For the luxurious traveller who also values a relaxing getaway just minutes away from the world’s most serene seascapes. To book a stay at A Room at the Beach, click here.

Spiritual Insight of the week: As she let her soul sing to her, she let go of lifetimes’ worth of silenced truth missiles cemented in the deepest caverns of her soul. A voice snuffed out for centuries, for saying too much, for standing up too much, for being too much. Her intuition and bigness restrained for centuries, but not any more. She could not be locked away, muted, or extinguished any longer. Not now. Not ever again. As she let her spirit move her, she danced right through the flames. Resentment, anger, and memories stomped out with every blazing convulsion, sway, and kick. Sensing her in the distance, one by one her sisters joined her, knowing this dance by heart. The movement created space for their tears, which flowed deeper than all of the rivers and lakes from all of the ages. Soothing and cooling the burning that once enveloped her entire being. Her whole body. All of her bodies. All of their bodies. All of our bodies. Never forgetting. But still rising, just as she planned to. Just as we planned to. Rising and rising and rising and rising and rising. Standing taller than all the sisters who came before and will continue to come again. The mystic always rises.”― Rebecca Campbell, Light is the New Black

What’s on our wishlist: Cora Loafter by Tove

Reordering this week: Supercloud Body Serum by iota

Home of the week: This Haussmannian Paris Apartment belonging to artist Noelia Hobeika and video editor Burke Williams is the definition of deeply romantic. With historic and rich textures, this apartment is every artist’s and lover-of-literature’s dream. Photography by Nicole Franzen. Featured in Architectural Digest.

Nostalgic for: The thrill of academia when you enrolled in a class that you actually loved, ate up, couldn’t live without. The romanticization of studying and essays and tests. The curiosity of education.

Question to ask at the dinner table: If you were a city, which city would you be?

Question to ask yourself this week: Where can I swap out fear for faith?

Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.

Sincerely,

The REVUE Team
