Sunday Inspiration: Volume 2.31

Sentiment of the week: “I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.” ― Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
Here’s what is currently inspiring us: Knowing that the shape of a woman’s body is and will always be beautiful, romantic dreams of the Tuscan countryside, reading topless in your backyard, wandering around the Louvre, putting on blush just because, investing in yourself, curation as a talent instead of creation as a needle moving default setting, a glass of crisp Sauvignon Blanc at 3:00 pm just because, getting dressed up regardless of the occasion, drowning yourself in interior design magazines, adding these ankle weights to your pilates routine, strolls on the beach, sensuality as a means of personal expression, yearning for your dream life so poignantly that you get up and do something about it, the power of a kitten heel, dinner with girlfriends, auditing your time, your energy, and your schedule, a good novel that you just can’t seem to put down.

Brand of the week: When you are tired of talks about capsule collections, quiet luxury, and minimalism and all you want is to wear a ball gown, you go to Schiaparelli. Dramatic, womanly, and incredibly chic. For those nights when you want to feel wildly extra, incredibly feminine, and artistically avant-garde, look to the Schiaparelli Fall 2025 Couture collection. Our favorite dresses are below.

Artist of the week: We remember the first time we came across an Egon Schiele. It was delicate, frail, and yet it profoundly took up space; almost voluptuous in its distortions. His portraits of women might be tangled and at angles that are not just odd but posess disturbing undertones, but his pieces are strikingly beautiful. This dance between disgust and beauty are at play. No matter the piece you witness, an Egon Schiele will haunt you.

Ritual to implement: Doing a weekly audit of your time: Where are you spending it? Where is it leaking? Where is it expanding you? Where is it contracting you? Where can it be honored just a little bit more?
Place to daydream about: Tucked inside a restored casa in Colonia Juárez, Soho House Mexico City hums with old-world charm and artistic rebellion. Velvet, tile, and shadowed light frame rooms where stories unfold over mezcal and midnight. It’s a sanctuary for the most interesting woman in the room—one who speaks in subtleties and moves with depth. To book a stay, click here.

Personal insight of the week: “In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete. Change is the natural law of my life. I welcome change. I am willing to change. I choose to change my thinking. I choose to change the words I use. I move from the old to the new with ease and with joy. It is easier for me to forgive than I thought. Forgiving makes me feel free and light. It is with joy that I learn to love myself more and more. The more resentment I release, the more love I have to express. Changing my thoughts makes me feel good. I am learning to choose to make today a pleasure to experience. All is well in my world.” ― Louise L. Hay, You Can Heal Your Life

Nostalgic for: MySpace.
Questions to ask at the dinner table:
If you could collaborate with any artist or visionary, living or dead, who would it be?
How do you define success for yourself? Has it changed over time?
What is one legacy you’d like to leave behind?
Question to ask yourself this week: Where are you being asked to expand to receive good things in your life?
Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.
Sincerely,
Editor-in-Chief of REVUE
