Sunday Inspiration: Volume 2.2
For the most interesting woman in the room; designed to bring more depth, intention, and luxury into your week

Sentiment of the week: “I am thinking of beauty again, how some things are hunted because we have deemed them beautiful. If, relative to the history of our planet, an individual life is so short, a blink, as they say, then to be gorgeous, even from the day you're born to the day you die, is to be gorgeous only briefly.” ― Ocean Vuong, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous
Here’s what is currently inspiring us: The smiles of our daughters, the shoulders of our sons, the intrinsically connected feeling that passes through the collective, the fact that meditation carries no weight and no baggage; it is but an invisible and free tool that is always floating nearby and within, seeing the faint outline of the moon in a blue sky before the sunset begins, that slight but powerful second where you turn envy into inspiration, our inner intuition, beauty in the form of human touch, human contribution, human connection, the idea of perseverance and how, as human beings, are the masters of it, the release of a deep full body stretch, the trot of a toddler, the eyes of a grandmother, the ability to give and receive advice, the deep inner knowing that we are completely in control without the ability to control anything, the promise of gratitude without the promise of tomorrow.
What we are consuming this week:
Podcast: Jay Shetty: Master Your Mind, Find Your Purpose, and Rise Above the Negativity on RISE with Roxie.
Brand of the week: SLVRLAKE; the denim brand that is quickly gaining a cult-favorite. Born, and raised in Los Angeles, each pair of jeans are built with a timeless touch, a durability that stands the test of time, and an open weave construction. Inspired by the juxtaposition of modern minimalism and the everlasting beauty of the great outdoors, SLVRLAKE denim takes the old and makes it new again. On our wishlist: this pair for everyday, with a kitten heel, for comfort.

Artist of the week: As we sat in meditation this week, the color of blue came to the back wall of our eyelids. Blue; the calming color of the ocean, the deep hue of peace, the symbol of water. We pray to be enveloped in blue. Here are a gathering of photographers with single works that evoke, use, and play with the color blue, all featured by Tappan Collective, an LA based art-gallery. Enjoy how blue washes over you, how it heals you, how it grounds you. The peace and the comforting embrace of blue.
Ritual to implement: Smiling at strangers. Holding the door for strangers. Complimenting strangers.
Spiritual insight of the week: “This love is actually part of you; it is always flowing through you. It’s like the subatomic texture of the universe, the dark matter that connects everything. When you tune in to that flow, you will feel it in your own heart—not your physical heart or your emotional heart, but your spiritual heart, the place you point to in your chest when you say, “I am.” ― Ram Dass, Be Here Now
Place to daydream about: The Chateau Marmont in the 1960s and 1970s when the hallways were filled with the footsteps of Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski, Led Zeppelin, Eve Babitz, Lucille Ball. When it was the artist’s getaway with all of its approachable glamour. When the parties and the guests were those in the scene - the scene that wasn’t the scene, that was the pre-scene, the prologue to the industry of the movie star. A current iconic Los Angeles establishment, we flee there in the present day to have a view of the past; so that our tongues can taste the references our current art is built upon.

What’s on our wishlist: A safety that is felt within; at the root of our spine and in the depths of our hearts. A safety that evokes gratitude, that gleams awe, that recognizes the truth of humanity.
Reordering this week: Our ability to give.
Home of the week: The Eames House in the Palisades. At the time of writing this, The Eames House has not been effected by the Los Angeles fires. In our deepest effort to pull and preserve the artistic and cultural history of Los Angeles in any way we can, we are honoring one of the most iconic homes in joy that it is still standing and in memory of all of the architecture that is not.

Question to ask yourself this week: How far can my compassion go?
Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.
