Sunday Inspiration: Volume 1.6

All of the inspiration, content, and intentions of the week so that you can arrive the aspirational way.

Sentiment of the week: “Character — the willingness to accept responsibility for one's own life — is the source from which self-respect springs.” - Joan Didion, on self-respect.

Here’s what is currently inspiring us: Showering the fathers in our lives with love and appreciation, Chloe’s Fall 2024 Collection - and with it, the return of the sophisticated and bohemian girl of Paris, humans taking Instagram sabbaticals, breathwork, cooking each meal at home, drinking kombucha out of a wine glass, toddler kisses, daydreaming about bikinis and travel and luxury resorts, the recent 15th anniversary Jacquemus show, red being the color of summer.

What we are consuming this week:

Podcast: The 10 Essential Items You Need for Summer by Let’s Get Dressed With Liv Perez

Book: Novelist as a Vocation by Haruki Murakami

Documentary: Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge on Hulu

Photo of the week: A young DVF in one of her iconic wrap-dresses

Ritual to implement: Putting your phone on Do Not Disturb at all times. For days.

Place to daydream about: Amangiri, a luxurious oasis that matches the raw-aesthetic of the desert. For a deeper look into Amangiri, click here.

What’s on our wishlist: Mara Flat in Vinyl by The Row

Reordering this week: The Restorative Mask by Oak Essentials

Home of the week: Architecture by Andrade Morettin. Styling by Colin King. Private office pavilion by Studio Mellone. Featured in ELLE Decor. Photography by William Jess Laird. Located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. For more of this home, click here.

Nostalgic for: Summer vacations - when school was out and there wasn’t a drop of responsibility in the air - youthful energy and warm, humid nights - a taste of childhood within the body of emerging adulthood - the beating sun against a booming social life.

Question to ask yourself this week: What lies are you telling yourself? How have those false narratives served you?

Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.

Sincerely,

The REVUE Team
