Sunday Inspiration: Volume 1.18
All of the inspiration, content, and intentions of the week so that you can arrive the aspirational way.
Sentiment of the week: “Never let go of that fiery sadness called desire.” - Patti Smith
Here’s what is currently inspiring us: NYFW in all of its fashion glory, the imminent arrival of fall - and with it, all of the fashion that comes with a cooler climate, performing activities (like showering or driving) in silence, purchasing investment pieces over a plethora of smaller items that will leave your awareness within a few months, the color burgundy, chic laptop cases, drinking warm water and lemon, the quest for the perfect pair of jeans, filling up your cup first, not looking at your phone for the first hour of the day, Alaia’s Spring Ready-to-Wear 2025 collection.
What we are consuming this week:
Photo of the week: Rihanna attending the Alaia show in NY.
News, updates, & happenings in the industry and in culture:
Tom Ford has a new Creative Director… and it’s Haider Ackerman - Vogue
Danielle Bernstein’s WeWoreWhat collection makes it’s first NYFW debut - Glossy
Selena Gomez is a billionaire because of her brand, Rare Beauty - BoF
Alaia takes over the Guggenheim for NYFW this year - WWD
Paris Hilton hosted Nylon Magazine’s NYFW party this year - NYLON
Ritual to implement: Taking three deep belly breaths whenever you notice your mind racing, your chest clenching, or your attention wandering.
Place to daydream about: The Jane Hotel in New York. Historic, iconic, NYC. For more information on The Jane Hotel, click here.
What’s on our wishlist: The Chanel Slingbacks in Beige & Black
Reordering this week: The Finishing Gel by Crown Affair
Home of the week: Design by Meet West Studio. Photography by Rett Peek. Construction by Neal Hefner Construction. Custom Carpentry by Daniel Smiley.
Nostalgic for: BBM. Who remembers the Blackberry era?
Question to ask yourself this week: What would the elevated version of me in 6 months do today?
Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.
Sincerely,
The REVUE Team
