Sunday Inspiration: Volume 1.15
All of the inspiration, content, and intentions of the week so that you can arrive the aspirational way.
Sentiment of the week: “It's not that I'm rebelling. It's that I'm just trying to find another way.” - Edie Sedgwick
Here’s what is currently inspiring us: Live music, summer sweaters, coffee table books that double as interior decor, coconut meat, clearing things that don’t serve you anymore, trips to the library, understanding that less is more, taking a morning probiotic, breath work, drinking smoothies on hot afternoons, and knowing that wellness starts within.
What we are consuming this week:
Photo of the week: The Italian Woman by Henri Matisse; one of the few muted and un-colorful pieces of the French visual artist.
News, updates, & happenings in the industry and in culture:
Hillary Super, former CEO of Savage x Fenty, has been announced as the new CEO of Victoria Secret - BoF
Sarah Jessica Parker is shutting down her SJP shoe line - WWD
Aurora James is on the cover of Architectural Digest for her Laurel Canyon Cottage - AD
Sophia Amoruso announces that she will be doing a closet sale later this year in Los Angeles as she leases out her home to travel - IG
Ritual to implement: Being spontaneous once a month and going against your routine to create memories you wouldn’t have otherwise said yes to. Getting out of your comfort zone and your typical environment. Allowing something new to come in if you go against your auto-pilot moments. Not being afraid of the unknown. Even if you go the long way to work instead of the short way. Fire new brain signals through a different route.
Place to daydream about: Aman New York, the new luxury hotel in Manhattan’s landmark Crown Building. Spacious suites, a year-round garden terrace, and three floors dedicated to wellness and longevity. For more information on Aman, click here.
What’s on our wishlist: ALAÏA Flat Mule
Reordering this week: Lip Butter Balm Summer Fridays
Home of the week: 1965 Cliff May-designed home located in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Home to Hollywood producer Amy Pascal & Bernard Weinraub. Renovated by Marmol Radziner. Photography by Joyce Kim. Published in T Magazine.
Nostalgic for: When social media was an album of 50 photos from the night before off a digital camera.
Question to ask yourself this week: What can I let go of to create more space for what I desire to come into my life?
Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.
Sincerely,
The REVUE Team
