Sunday Inspiration: Volume 1.14

All of the inspiration, content, and intentions of the week so that you can arrive the aspirational way.

Sentiment of the week: “Limitations always expose your taste and point of view.” - Gabriela Hearst

Here’s what is currently inspiring us: That post Lion’s Gate expansion, pastel pinks, reading autobiographies, basking yourself in sunlight first thing in the morning, anything and everything Loewe, The Margaux Bag by The Row, following Gab Waller, a ten minute daily meditation practice, and air frying vegetables every night.

What we are consuming this week:

Podcast: Week in Review: Results from Adidas, Prada, Armani and Hugo Boss show the state of fashion’s finances on The Glossy Podcast

Book: Money, A Love Story by Kate Northrup

Photo of the week: Potrait of Berthe Morisot by Manet, 1873. Berthe Morisot was a French Impressionist Painter. Morisot and Manet were romantically involved in a love affair prior to Morisot getting married.

News, updates, & happenings in the industry and in culture:

  • Fred Segal announced that they will be closing all retail stores (RIP) - Glossy

  • Adele is engaged to Rich Paul, sports agent - Vogue

  • Case Study: The Art and Science of Retail Store Success - BoF

  • The four emerging Danish fashion designers to keep an eye on - Harper’s Bazaar

Ritual to implement: Listing out your three non-negotiable self-care moments (ex: journalling, meditation, movement, skincare, alone time) and make sure you hit two out of the three each day. Place them into your calendar so that you are setting yourself up for success. Sometimes, it is not about the small moments that happen effortlessly and at the right time. Sometimes, it is about the moments that we rinse and repeat over time consistently. Those are the ones that add up. Pick your three to rinse and repeat.

Place to daydream about: Hotel Corazon - the artist’s lair on the coast of Mallorca. For more information and photos of this creative and bohemian oasis, click here.

What’s on our wishlist: Themoire’s Dhea bag in Black

Reordering this week: Bloat by Arrae

Home of the week: Casa ‘Copas’ by PPAA, located in Mexico. Photography by Luis Garvan. Featured in Manera Magazine.

Nostalgic for: Wandering the aisles of Blockbuster.

Question to ask yourself this week: In what ways can you ask for more support in your personal and professional life?

Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.

Sincerely,

The REVUE Team
