Sunday Inspiration: Volume 1.28

All of the inspiration, content, and intentions of the week so that you can arrive the aspirational way.

Sentiment of the week: “And it dawned on me that I might have to change my inner thought patterns... that I would have to start believing in possibilities that I wouldn't have allowed before, that I had been closing my creativity down to a very narrow, controllable scale... that things had become too familiar and I might have to disorientate myself.” ― Bob Dylan, Chronicles, Volume One

Here’s what is currently inspiring us: Dressing for the job you want not for the position you currently have, the power of a morning smoothie, oversized chunky sweaters, refreshing your mind and spirit on Stoicism, reaching for the frequency that will emulate your elevated self, reading poetry, listening to an album all the way through, wearing kitten heels with everything just because, collecting purses, browsing through racks of vintage clothing, remaining in silence instead of placing background noise on, loving those we disagree with, finding a signature scent and wearing it daily, not questioning your intuition but rather living by it, mixing golds and silvers, a cleansing session of cleaning out your closet, your drawers, your pantries.

What we are consuming this week:

In addition to THEMOIRè’s environmental first mission, their designs are also enhances craftsmanship within communities of artisans around the world. Artist of the week: Cy Twombly - an American painter, sculptor, and photographer who came of age after the Abstract Expressionist generation: “It's instinctive in a certain kind of painting...It's like a nervous system. It's not described, it's happening. The feeling is going on with the task. The line is the feeling, from a soft thing, a dreamy thing, to something hard, something arid, something lonely, something ending, something beginning.”

Ritual to implement: Clearing energy daily. Returning to sender energetic burdens or life circumstances that are not your responsibility. Lightening the load to just your side of the street. Understanding and knowing that all you can control are your reactions. That the lives of others are not in our hands. Return their energy. Remain within your own.

Home of the week: Located in West Vancouver. Architect: Arthur Erickson built in 1972. Renovated by Battersby Howat Architects. 5,446 square feet. Photography by Conrad Brown.

Nostalgic for: Summer break. The detachment of it all. The pause of it all. The freedom of it all.

Question to ask yourself this week: Where am I expending unnecessary energy trying to be right at the expense of my inner peace?

Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.

Sincerely,

The REVUE Team
