Sunday Inspiration: Volume 1.25

All of the inspiration, content, and intentions of the week so that you can arrive the aspirational way.

Sentiment of the week: “Always say “yes” to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to what already is? What could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to what is. Say “yes” to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.” ― Eckhart Tolle

Here’s what is currently inspiring us: Giving ourselves the space to heal, nourish, and rest, the familiarity of a chocolate chip cookie, reading novels before bed and non-fiction before you start your day, wearing your hair naturally, elevated pajama sets, planning a holiday getaway, artistic gallery walls, throwing a belt on every outfit, two-hour mid-day naps that are both sweet and deep, a morning meditation practice, rewatching old episodes of your comfort TV series, sunsets that are emboldened with reds and oranges, writing poetry on a random afternoon.

What we are consuming this week:

Podcast: Danielle Bernstein AKA We Wore What - How To Create Your Dream Job, Overcome Challenges, & Build An Online Presence & Brand on The Skinny Confidential

TV: Shrinking Season 2 on Apple TV

Brand of the week: Khaite; the official brand of quiet luxury that is also deeply fabricated from the psyche of the modern woman’s mind. Listed on their website “A wardrobe of instinct,” Khaite knows the inner workings of just what a more grown-up, elevated woman wants, needs, and craves. From classic yet bold outerwear silhouettes to modern spins on staple boots to the every-day handbags that are both current and reminiscent of another era. On our wishlist: Cate Bag, Nevada Boot, Taj Dress.

Ritual to implement: Reviewing your calendar and writing your next day’s to-do list down in the evening before you wind down. This allows your brain to take the true break it needs throughout your slumber. With it all reviewed and written down, your mind can go into relaxing mode knowing that nothing is going missed, nothing is going forgotten, nothing is going unnoticed.

Place to daydream about: Hotel Fouquet in Tribeca where you can find French influences within the city jungle. For those looking for elegance, glamour, and romance in Manhattan. Pastel neutrals, deep romantic reds, and polished lines. To stay at Hotel Fouquet, click here.

Home of the week: An original 1970s Ray Kappe home in Los Angeles redesigned by OWIU Design mixing Midcentury Modern and Japanese accents and references. Featured in Architectural Digest. Photographed by Austin John.

Nostalgic for: Late nights chatting with your friends on AIM; the first innocent digital social ecosystem of our youth.

Question to ask yourself this week: Where can you more truly express your actual wants, desires, and needs?

Have a beautiful week. Until next Sunday.

Sincerely,

The REVUE Team
