Sunday Inspiration: Volume 1.22

All of the inspiration, content, and intentions of the week so that you can arrive the aspirational way.

Sentiment of the week: “One indicator of inspiration is awe. We tend to take so much for granted. How can we move past disconnection and desensitization to the incredible wonders of nature and human engineering all around us? Most of what we see in the world holds the potential to inspire astonishment if looked at from a less jaded perspective. Train yourself to see the awe behind the obvious. Look at the world from this vantage point as often as possible. Submerge yourself. The beauty around us enriches our lives in so many ways. It is an end in itself. And it sets an example for our own work. We can aim to develop an eye for harmony and balance, as if our creations have always been here, like mountains or feathers.” ― Rick Rubin, The Creative Act: A Way of Being

Here’s what is currently inspiring us: Getting comfortable in the discomfort of expansion, mother-daughter style icon duos, wearing burgundy all fall, alternating between one fiction book and one non-fiction book, taking staycations, feeding your body foods that will fuel your overall wellbeing and vitality, a ritualistic hair care routine, saying goodbye to eclipse season, long walks sans your phone, dressing for your body type, making decisions based upon your alignment; upon energetic lightness, this dress, romance in all areas of life, booking a cupping and reiki appointment, taking deep belly breaths, lighting candles often and everywhere, adding a belt to your outfits.

Ritual to implement: Putting your phone away one hour before you intend to fall asleep. Allowing your eyes to rest on the pages of a book, your fingertips to intentionally move your skincare routine forward, and your sense of gratitude to run through your body. Slow down your night time practice.
